Clarksville's Industrial Megasite Fuels Job Growth

Officials for the Tennessee Valley Authority and its consultants announced in Clarksville that the 1,187-acre site off Jim Johnson and Tylertown Roads in northeastern Montgomery County is among eight industrial locations in the TVA region that are now certified and ready for major industrial development. The certification means the Clarksville site is deemed by TVA to be ready for an automotive assembly plant.

The property has been recently dubbed "Commerce Park, Central Tennessee's Megasite," certified by TVA following a stringent evaluation process. The certification means TVA will actively market the property to major business prospects.
One major, undisclosed company that's on a global site search is looking at the Clarksville site, which becomes the first megasite in Middle Tennessee to be certified by TVA. This has the potential to create thousands of jobs in Clarksville further fueling the area's growth.
